DSC: A quick change

In 2024, the NDIS changed overnight. And business models were shaken to the core.

Training providers DSC specialised in in-person and online training for service providers. This had worked well for years, but the announcement of the Getting the NDIS Back on Track legislation changes meant that many of the people DSC were training, would have to move out of independent work and into large organisations. Those orgs would likely want to either radically streamline, or entirely insource, their training.

DSC needed to shift their business model online, and scale it for enterprise - fast. To do this they needed to completely overhaul their corporate website, revisit web integrations, and above all provide a compelling pitch to customers who were already feeling the pinch from policy changes to the disability sector.

I restructured the copy on key sales pages for individuals and corporations using value proposition frameworks; designed a new onboarding flow for prospects; and managed launch communications for a diverse and often frustrated customer base.

Copy reminders that the core skills required to work in the NDIS wouldn’t be changing - but the required speed to learn would.

Copy was closely targeted to stressors and feelings of responsibility

None of this would work without the right human touch. I also hired and onboarded an experienced ‘concierge’ for large enterprise users, and supported her to do her best work remotely while managing several complex disabilities. The core strength of DSC is lived experience - and its incredible, intelligent humans.
